خليل السيد رجل يشتغل بصناعة
الحصير وكان كلما وجد مصلّى بلا حصيرة، أو مفروشاً بقش الأرز ,هرع إليه
وفرشه بالحصير الجديد، وكانت
المصلّيات آنذاك تُفرش بالحصير .. جاءته رؤيا عجيبة !!
Khalil Al-Sayyid was a man who engages in making (prayer) mats. Whenever
he would meet a praying person without a mat or a spread of rice straw, he
would rush to him and spread a new mat for him. And the Mosques and places of
prayer during those times used to be spread with mats...Then (one night) he had
an amazing dream!!
رأى عمودَه الفقري يتشكل
ويتدلى عنقوداً من العنب، والناس تأتي جماعات جماعات ، يأكلون من عنقود العنب،
وعنقود العنب لا ينفد !!
و لمّا تكرّرت الرؤيا.. ذهب
لأحد الشيوخ وقصّها عليه، فسأله الشيخ إن كان له ذرية ..
قال : ولدي محمود عمره عامان
قال الشيخ : ألْحِقه بالأزهر
، يتعلّم العلوم الشرعية، فسوف يكون له شأن كبير ،، وقد كان !!!!
He saw a spinal cord or a backbone (like object) that dangles and swings
a cluster of grapes, while people are coming in groups eating from the cluster
of grapes, which does not finish!!
So, when the dream was repeated, he went to one of the Sheikhs and
narrated to him (hoping for dream to be interpretated). Then the Sheikh asked
him if he has a family and he said: Only a son Mahmoud who is two years old.
And he advised him: Take him to Al-Hazhar University (when he grows up)
to study the knowledge of Sharia (Islamic Law-Qur'an, Hadith, Tawhid etc). For
he will have a great future prospect,,And he had!!!! (as predicted the Sheikh)
ألحَقَه بالأزهر وختم محمودُ
القرآنَ في عمر الثامنة، وكان أوّلَ من سجّل المصحف المرتل في أنحاء العالم بطريقة
رواية حفص عن عاصم، ورفض أخذ أجرة مالية عليها فوضع الله لها القبول في الأرض ..
He took him and got him enrolled into Al-Hazhar (after he grew up). And
Mahmoud memorized the Qur’an at 8 years of age. And he was the first to record
the Quranic recitation worldwide through the approach or riwayah of Hafs from
'Asim. He refused to accept monitory reward for that, then Allah showered his
blessings upon it (the recording) through the earth..
فقد كان:
1961 - أول من سجل القرآن برواية حفص عن عاصم.
So he became:
The first to record the Qur'an with the riwayah of Hafs from 'Asim -
1961
1964 - أول من سجل القرآن برواية ورش عن نافع.
The first to record the Qur’an with riwayah of Warsh from Nafi'a - 1964
1968 - أول من سجل القرآن برواية قالون ورواية الدورى عن أبي
عمرو البصري.
The first to record the Qur’an with the riwayah of Qalun and riwayah of
Al-Dawry from Abi Umrul Basry - 1968
1969 - أول من سجل القرآن المعلم (طريقة التعليم).
First to record the Qur’an Teacher (Means of Learning) - 1969
1975 - أول من رتل القرآن بطريقة المصحف المفسر.
The first to record the interpreted Qur’an - 1975
1977 - أول من رتل القرآن في الأمم المتحدة.وأذّن لصلاة
الظهر في الأمم المتحدة.
The first to recite the Qur’an at the United Nations(Headquarters in New
York during an international conference) and (the first to) call the Azan of
Zuhur prayer at the United Nations - 1977
1978 - أول من رتل القرآن في القصر الملكي في لندن.
The first to recite the Qur’an at the Royal (Buckingham)Palace in London
- 1978
أول قارئ يقرأ القرآن في
البيت الأبيض، الأمريكي.
The first to recite the Qur’an at the Whitehouse and the U.S. House of
Congress.
كان أوّل من رتل القرآن
الكريم في الكونجرس الأمريكي
وفي قاعة هايوارت المطلة على
نهر التايمز في لندن،
He was the first to recite the Qur'an at the Hayorat, overlooking River
Thames in London.
توفي رحمه الله في ٢٤ نوفمبر
سنة ١٩٨٠م .
بعد صلاة العشاء بعد أن
امتدت رحلته مع كتاب الله الكريم ما يقرب من خمسة وخمسين عامًا.
He died, may Allah have mercy upon him, on November 24, 1980, after Isha
prayer. He completed his (spiritual) journey with the Book of Almighty Allah
for nearly 55 years.
ولا نزال نأكل من عنقود
العنب ، وعنقود العنب لا ينفذ !!!!
And we are still eating from the cluster of grapes, and that cluster of
grapes will never finish(as his voice is echoing and re-echoing in all nook and
cranny globally)
غفر الله له، ورزقنا ذرية
طيبة ووفقنا لما يحب ويرضى.
May Allah forgive him and grant us a good family and help us to tread on
whatever He likes and is pleased with.
سبحان الذي لا يُضيع أجْرَ
من أحسن عملاً.
Glory be to the one who does not decipate the reward of a good doer.
*أحسن الوالدُ بفرش المساجد حتى لُقِّب بالحُصري، فنشر
الله صوت ابنه في أنحاء الأرض باسم الحصري الذي لا يزال يتردد على أسماعنا في
مشارق الأرض ومغاربها بهذا اللقب*
*The father did good by spreading mats in the Mosques until he was
nicknamed Al-Husary. Then Allah spread (widely) the voice of his son through
the earth with the name Al-Husary, which is still still being repeated in our
ears both in the eastern and western parts of the world with this nickname*
لا تستصغر عملاً أردتَ به
وجهَ الله .
So do not underestimate a deed you have done sincerely for the sake of
Allah.

*He was the(ever famous) Quranic reciter was Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husary)
رحم الله الشيخ محمود الحصري
ورحم والده الرجل الصالح الذي بذر هذه البذرة.
May Allah have mercy upon Sheikh Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husary. And may He
also have mercy upon his father, the pious man who sowed this seed.

Maulana Sheikh Ibrahim Niass wrote a beautiful poem about him in one of
his diaries, describing him as his beloved friend and Sheikh used to buy his
recordings from others to be listening and distributing to people while on
da'wah trips globally.
