"....Peace and blessings of Allah Almighty be upon you, followed by the notification that I have returned from Haramain(Makka&Madina)
....And that I have offered you my position, you are my khalifah in the entire regions of Nigeria.
So whosoever obeyed you he has obeyed me and whoever disobeyed you it is me that he disobeyed...And anyone that you are pleased with, I am equally pleased with him..."

And for your information, Maulana late Khalifah Sheikh Tijjani Niass gave Mai Martaba Sanusi Lamido Sanusi "ijazah" and declared him as the khalifah of his grand father late Sarki M. Sanusi
(I) about a year ago....
Obviously, just like his grand father Sarki Sanusi is a great intellectual, all rounded and this alone made him very deserving of khilafah.
He gives lectures in the field of the deen every week....
In spite of his royal dignity and privilege, his grand father, Mai Martaba Sarki Muhammadu Sanusi was so humble and respectful to Maulana Sheikhul Islam Alhaji Ibrahim Niass...
History has it that, during the first visit of Sheik to Kano after they met with Sarki Abdullahi Bayero in Makkah, Sheikh being so simple and humble person came alone and stood by the main gate of the palace and told the dogarai or guards he came to visit Sarki Bayero. Because the guards did not know who he was, they declined to allow him entry into the palace....
So Sheikh opened a handback he had with him and picked a paper and pen and wrote a short note and gave to one of the guards to go and submit to Sarki Bayero, while he was waiting outside the front door....
In fact, according to this very reliable source who narrated this story to me, when the guard went inside the palace and submitted the note to Sarki A. Bayero, upon reading it, he got so agitated and nervous and started running from one lobby or veranda of the place to another, with neither hulla nor rawani on his head, and the dogarai and fadawa were running after him and asking if everything is fine with him.
And Sarki Bayero didn't even turn to speak to them until he reached the main door and saw Maulana Sheikh waiting....He instantly pleaded with Sheikh for the non deserving protocol he was subjected to follow by the guards....And Sheikh told him not to worry at all....
So this khilafah given to Mai Martaba Sanusi is like a perfect coincidental history repeating itself , because the grand father was dethroned just like him as well....
And you can see young Sanusi sitting on the lap of Maulana Sheikh during one of his visits to his grand father in Kano....
I still hold the view that our leaders are being diplomatic with declaring him as the grand khalifah, due to its political implication....but they will eventually cave in to it since he is the public choice....!!!
