INTRODUCTION

All praise are due to Allah who has taught by the pen who taught mankind what he knew not.
And may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon the noblest of the prophets our master Muhammad who said:"Whoever pursued a path
of seeking knowledge Allah will ease a path for him to paradise. And the Angels are lowering their wings for the seeker of knowledge to step on it showing their pleasure with what he is doing.
And the entire creation of heaven and earth and even the fish in the ocean are asking for forgiveness for the teacher or scholar. And the virtue of a scholar upon a worshiper is like the virtue of the moon upon the rest of the planets.
Verily scholars are the heirs of the prophets. And the prophets inherited neither dinar nor dirhamٍ but they rather inherited knowledge. So whoever aquired it has aquired a huge fortune.
And (peace and blessings) upon his household and his companions who guide to the straight path and upon the followers and those who came after them until the Last Day.
We hereby inform lovers of Sheikhyul Islam Alhaji Ibrahim Niass (r) that this collection from
his invaluable books is being republished anew in order to revive the legacy with keeness to make it beneficial and a reminder to the entire
believers. Allah Almighty says: "Remind people for remembrance benefits the believers".
Undoubtedlyٍ we are always eager to listen to the voice of Sheikh in all situationsٍ or to read what showcased his talent in various subjects. Particularly in this eraٍ since we have never left or neglected something all the timeٍ we need to take a second look at his invaluable stocks of publications which is worthy of reading and revisingٍ because all of it are based on the Qur'an and Sunnah. And we are in dire need to drive educational benefits from it both outwardly and inwardly.
So over to you what has been (made) possible at this timeٍ seeking from Allah Almighty to enable us reproduce whatever was published (before) and whatever is missing from it in the librariesٍ as that is the sparkling or shinning lamp in our journey towards the Truth (Allah) whose affairs is exalted.
And that is the straight path. Whoever holds up to it is guided and whoever sticks or leans upon it has succeeded. May Allah grant us success in what is good for Islam and Muslims And we thank whoever assisted us in fulfilling this work and achieving this high objective. And we pray to Allah to reward them kindly and offset or overlook our shortcomings and their as well.
And our last prayer is praise be to Allah Lord of the worlds.

FORWARD
All praise are due to Allah by virtue of whose blessings all good deeds are getting fulfilled. And peace and blessings be upon our master Muhammad who said: "Fast due to the sighting of the moon and feast (break your fast) due to the sighting of the moon. And (peace be) upon his purified household and his best desciples and those who followed them with good deeds until the Last Day.
Howeverٍ this is a book among the tens of other books of his eminence Maulana Sheikh Ibrahim Niass whom scholars of his generation have testified for his high intellectual capacity and many saints of his era had bowed to him.
And this book in spite of being small in sizeٍ but it contains huge benefits which solves one of the contencious and controversial issues which concerns every Muslim. Which is the issue of sighting of the moon or cresent and also Muslims fasting and feasting (breaking their fast after 30 or 29 days) in unison in the Islamic world...And this (fatwa) was requested by some (Muslims)...
In fact Sheikh stood at a decisive or a definitive position which manifests to the reader of the book that it is the position of the Qur'an and Sunnah.
In fact Sheikh has clarified in this book the impossibility of Muslims to fast and feast in unison. He based (his argument) on referrence and reasoningٍ supporting his proofs with authentic evidence from the Qur'an and Sunnah as well as the views of the highly learned scholarsٍ as he is fond of doing.
So his book emerged as a summary with a ample solutionsٍ which appears as the best source of reference even to the extent that
the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (based in Jeddahٍ Saudi Arabia) issued its fatwa not long after the Sheikh's book was issued, and its fatwa agreed with the Sheikh's opinion.
So may Allah benefit the Ummah with it and help promote the Sunnah.
