Below is an excerpt of a book on great lectures in Zaria, northern Nigeria in the sixties dubbed"
"الفيضة الجارية في معاني الإسلام والطريقة التجانية"
"A DIVINE FLOWING FLOOD ON THE MEANING OF ISLAM AND THE PATH OF TIJJANIYAH"
By His Eminence, قاموس الحقيقة والشريعة Maulana Sheikh Ibrahim Niass.
Please read and share:
"In the Name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful
Gratitude be to Allah, as you love me i love you as well, so say Alhamulilah. All other groups would assemble or gather together for a reason. And we have gathered for the sake of Allah. That is why i want to talk with you about Allah Almighty.
People since time immemorial constitute three groups, as Allah devided them at the beginning of suratul Baqarah: "A.L.M, There is no doubt in that Book, which is a guidance to the pious. Those who believe in the unseen and establish prayer and spend from what we have bestowed upon them. And those who believe in what was revealed upon you and what was revealed before you and they are very certain about the Last Day."
This is the section that mentioned four categories among Muslims; the pious, those who believe in the unseen, those who establish prayer and those who spend from what Allah has bestowed upon them, they are the successful ones."
These four qualities that came in suratul baqarah are the qualities of the four rightly guided Caliphs, such as Abubakar, Umar, Usman and Ali.
The first(quality) mentioned "guidance to the pious", and piety is a quality of Abubakar Sidiqque may Allah be pleased with him, as the Qur'an described him with that in the surah of Abubakar which is suratul Lail (The Night) He(Allah) says, "No one shall reach it but those most unfortunate ones, who give the lie to Truth and turn their backs. But those most devoted to God shall be removed far from it. Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification."
Or it was revealed regarding Abubakar and was named "Al-Atqah", " The Most Pious", and piety is to exemplify what is commanded(to be done and) and what is condemned(to avoid).
Abubakar was the most pious of the entire servants of Allah besides the Prophets. Abubakar had never surpasses you with excessive prayer, fasting and zakat, but with something that emerged in his heart.
Those who believe in the unseen, belief is a quality of Umar bunul Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him with a proof that when he converted to Islam a revelation came down from the Qur'an, "O you the Prophet Allah is enough for you and those who followed you among the believers". Before then Muslims used to hide from their enemies. However, when Umar converted to Islam, they came out boldly and Islam became victorious. So this act of belief became the quality of Umar.
And prayer is the quality of Usman bun Affan, may Allah be pleased with him. (A verse) was revealed about him, "...Is the one who stands midnight, prostrating who fears the Last Day..." This verse was revealed about Usman, mat Allah be pleased with him. He used to be praying every night one raka'at, reading the entire Qur'an. And it was due to this that prayer became the quality of Usman bun Affan, may Allah be pleased with him.
And spending in the course of Allah was the quality of Ali, may Allah be pleased with him. He used to be poor and had nothing. He went and worked in the farm of a Jew in the day, and he was given four dirham(dollars/cedis/niara) and he gave out one dirham to charity and gave (another) sadaqah in secret, gave out one dirham to charity in the afternoon and gave out another dirham at night. And then the verse of those who spend their money at night and in the day in secret and in public. These four qualities are the qualities of the entire believers and the qualities of all the companions.
But they are all four each one of them excelled with four qualities...and with all those who followed them until the end of the generation.
This is the soldier of Allah Almighty, "Verily those who have disbelieved likewise the same whether you counsel them or you did not counsel them, they would not believe. Allah has sealed up their hearts and their hearings and their eyes, they are the unbelievers."
The third section is the hypocrites, and among people are those who would say we believed in Allah and we believe in the Last Day, but they are not believers."
Those three sections are available every time and in this our time....
The first section-The non believer is the enemy of Allah and the non believer is better than the hypocrites who are showcasing their believe and when they portrayed that they are Muslims, things that indicate that they are not Muslims would be manifested .
And hypocrites will be in the lowest rank of the hell fire. This is the reason why non believers are better than them. And as for us by the grace of Allah, He has guided us to Islam. We do not have to confirm that and to portray these qualities. Fear of Allah, and fear of Allah whenever it is mentioned is to exemplify what are commanded and distance one's self from what are prohibited, in public and in private.
And piety is the key to every needs of the the servant(of Allah). Fear Allah wherever you find youself. Do not worry about where you would die. Whoever fears Allah He would shoulder the responsibility of his affairs and no hardship will affect him.
Mankind would either need knowledge, which is first for any man who attains maturity and he becomes intelligent. The first thing that he pays attention to is knowledge because knowledge is the leading force and action follows knowledge. Fear Allah and Allah will grant you knowledge. Then this is the proof that fear of Allah is the key that unlocks knowledge.

Salam Alaikum, Jum'ah Mubarak, folks as weekly, i hereby continue with the excerpt two(two pages) of the lectures delivered by Maulana Shehu Barhama Kaolack in Zaria, northern Nigeria in the sixties.
It is entitled:
"الفيضة الجارية في معاني الإسلام و الطريقة التجانية"
"THE FLOWING DIVINE FLOOD ON THE MEANING OF ISLAM & PATH OF TIJJANIYAH"
Please read and share:
"Imam Shafi'ee said in his poem:
I lamented to(my Sheikh) Wakeee' my deficient retentive memory
Then he adviced me to stop committing vices
And he informed that knowledge is light
And the light of Allah would not be given to the one who commits vices
Fellow students of knowledge, fear Allah if you want beneficial knowledge, you should cleanse yourselves from vices and exemplify the command of Allah with purity and establishing prayer. It is with this that you will obtain beneficial knowledge and the blessings of age.
The success of the youthfulness of a man is to seek what he wants in his youthful exuberance. If youthfulness elapses, all things elapse.
So fear Allah, O you the youth, and man perhaps needs peace from his enemies. The Qur'an says, "If you are patient and fearful, their(negative) schemes will not affect you..."
With this it appears clear that piety is a protective shield for a servant or a man, whose needs are wealth and emancipation from hardships. The key to this is piety. Whoever fears Allah He will make a way out for him and he will provide wealth for him from the angle he has never imagined."
If the need of man is to be a waliyi or in good standing with Allah, he should fear Allah. "Verily the friends of Allah have no fear nor sadness they are those who believe and they are fearful."
Whoever believed in Allah and feared him, he will be among the awliyah (gnostics). Abu Hanifah said; If the people of knowledge who act upon it are not awliyah of Allah, then Allah has no waliyi.
Even if the need of a servant is Paradise on the Last Day. The owner of it (Allah) said, "It was prepared for the pious ones", Or salvation from fire, "Then we save those who were fearful". Or if the need of a servant is the love of Allah Almighty, "Allah loves the pious ones".
And when Allah loved his servant he would call angel Gabriel and say, I love my servant so and so, so you should love him. Then angel Gabriel would begin to shower him with love.
He would then command angel Gabriel to announce to everyone in heaven that Allah loves his servant so and so so show him affection. Then Allah would grant him acceptance on earth, so that whoever would see him would love him. And this is obtained by virtue of the love of Allah. And the love of Allah is obtained through piety. Fear Allah and Allah will love you. Or he man wants to always experience easiness in all his affairs.
Whoever fears Allah he will make easiness in his affairs. Or if a servant need is good ending, "And the best end is for those who fear Allah". Or particular need, then it left for a servant to fear Allah Almighty as its key.
And fear of Allah is exemplifying command and distancing from prohibition. And even if (a beat of) disobedience occured, since a servant is not infallible, he had to return to Allah, repent and seek for forgiveness. You know that sinfulness have punishment from Allah, either in this world or in the hereafter, or in them both. The punishment of the world would undoubtedly come down and the punishment of eternity would definitely be preserved until then, unless is the person repented and sort for forgiveness.
